Update:

For those Greens who can’t attend today’s state convention in Stroud (4 p.m. at the Best Western in Stroud for those who are still thinking of coming in person), we will have it set up where you can listen via phone.

To listen, call sometime after 4:10 p.m. to 559-726-1000 and enter access code 1072250#.

We do ask that once you dial in that you mute your phone.

Also if you are dialing in remotely and have a comment for us, please email me during the meeting at jmbzine@gmail.com. (we are not letting those listen in talk directly through the phone system, as we have bad experience with sound quality in the past) I will then be glad to read your comment at an appropriate time during the meeting.

Dr. Edward Shadid, Green Party candidate for House District #85

On July 25, 2010, following the GPOK’s 9th Annual State Convention, the Cooperative Council of the GPOK met. After extensive discussion, the party agreed to offer to endorse Dr. Shadid’s independent campaign for State House District #85.

In making its endorsement, the party asked that the campaign make a special focus on discussing Green values (particularly the 4 pillars of the Green Movement: ecological wisdom, social justice, grassroots democracy and non-violence), have a strong local focus, and make a special effort to reach out to marginalized and new voters.

For more information on the campaign, please visit voteshadid.org.
